What Noble Roofing completed
Noble Roofing completed a targeted wind-damage roof repair in Leander, Texas after ridge-cap shingles along the roof peak became loose or were displaced. Ridge caps sit at one of the most exposed parts of an asphalt-shingle roof, so missing or unsecured ridge shingles can leave fasteners and underlying materials more vulnerable to wind-driven rain.
During the repair, the ridge-cap fastening was checked and loose sections were secured using a stronger fastening pattern. Damaged or missing ridge shingles were replaced where needed, and the affected roof peak was refastened to restore a continuous, secure weather-shedding surface.
The completed work included shingle Repair: The roof had missing ridge that was blown off by high wind due to improper installation by the previous installation. They only put one nail on each side of the ridge versus how our crew install 2 nails, 4 nails total on each ridge. So our crew refastened loose ridge and put new ridge shingles across the peak of the roof. This was a repair and not a reroof. This roof is only 2 years old from the previous installation and they’re already having leaks and repairs needed everywhere and.
This was a focused repair rather than a full roof replacement. When the surrounding roofing system is still serviceable, correcting the specific failure point can restore protection without replacing materials that are still performing properly.
A focused roof repair should correct the damaged area while restoring the roof's water-shedding protection. That can include shingles, ridge caps, flashing, fasteners, sealants or roof penetrations depending on where the problem is located.
Central Texas roofs regularly see strong sun, heat, high winds, hail and sudden thunderstorms. Those conditions can expose weak fastening, damaged shingles and vulnerable roof details, making timely repairs important.
Addressing this type of roof problem early matters because a small opening at a ridge, shingle, flashing detail or penetration can allow repeated moisture into the roof assembly. Timely repair helps reduce the risk of damage spreading to decking, insulation or interior finishes.
Homeowner Guide
Small roof problems are usually easier to address before repeated rain reaches decking, insulation or interior finishes. A repair should focus on the actual water-entry or damage point while also checking nearby shingles, flashing and penetrations for related issues.
